industrial dehydration systems for activated carbon Solvent Recovery Units
DEC.ADM™

DEC.ADM™ industrial dehydration systems are coupled with an activated carbon Solvent Recovery Units (DEC.SRU™), as an optional add-on module or as a retrofit.

The Advanced Dehydration Modules (ADM™) by DEC represent a cutting-edge solution for efficient and reliable moisture removal across a range of industries. Engineered to optimize performance while minimizing energy consumption, ADM™ systems ensure quality of the recovered solvent, and meet stringent quality standards. Whether you're in pharmaceuticals, flexible packaging, or chemical manufacturing, our modular design adapts to your unique needs.

Thanks to these processes streams of Ethyl Acetate, Isopropyl Acetate, Ethyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol (common solvents used in flexible packaging lamination) will be recovered fully dehydrated, even exceeding fresh virgin solvent specs (i.e. Ethyl Acetate urethane grade, suitable for high performance solvent based lamination - i.e. retort sterilizable).

benefits

Moisture in recovered solvents can determine the success or failure of your Solvent Recovery process. Too much humidity can degrade recovered solvent quality, wasting both time and resources. ADM provides precise dehydration customized to your requirements, enhancing yield and improving productivity. Our systems ensure consistent performance, allowing you to concentrate on what truly counts: your profitability.

FAQs • Frequently Asked Questions

advanced dehydration modules • DEC.ADM™

What is DEC.ADM™?

DEC.ADM™ is a family of Advanced Dehydration Modules that remove residual moisture from solvents recovered by an activated carbon Solvent Recovery Unit (SRU™), so the solvent meets dry, ready-to-reuse specifications after distillation.

Can DEC.ADM™ be added to an existing Solvent Recovery Unit?

Yes. DEC.ADM™ is designed to be installed either as an optional module on a new SRU™ or as a retrofit to an SRU™ already in operation.

What is the difference between DEC.ADM_MSU™ and DEC.ADM_UDS™?

DEC.ADM_MSU™ (Molecular Sieves Unit) dehydrates solvent vapor in the gas phase using thermal swing adsorption, while DEC.ADM_UDS™ (Ultra Dehydration System) dehydrates solvent in the liquid phase using molecular sieves with thermal swing regeneration.

Which solvents can DEC.ADM™ dehydrate?

DEC.ADM™ is commonly used to dehydrate Ethyl Acetate, Isopropyl Acetate, Ethyl Alcohol and Isopropyl Alcohol, the solvents typically recovered in flexible packaging lamination processes, to specifications that can exceed those of fresh virgin solvent.

How is DEC.ADM_RBD™ different from the rest of the DEC.ADM™ portfolio?

DEC.ADM_RBD™ (Rotary Bed Dehumidifier) uses continuous rotary desiccant wheel technology to dehumidify process air rather than to dehydrate a recovered liquid solvent, unlike DEC.ADM_MSU™, DEC.ADM_UDS™ and the other molecular-sieve-based modules in the DEC.ADM™ family. It's used where dry room or process air humidity control is the requirement, such as lithium battery manufacturing, pharmaceutical production and electronics manufacturing.
