FAQs • Frequently Asked Questions

Reliable Support for Your Environmental Needs • DEC.TSS™

What does DEC's Technical Support Services (TSS) department cover?

DEC.TSS™ covers technical troubleshooting, staff training and safety programs, remote help-desk support through DEC.HDS™, and genuine spare parts for DEC's environmental process equipment, so customers can keep their systems running at optimal uptime and performance.

How quickly can I get help through DEC.HDS™ if a problem comes up?

DEC.HDS™ provides Next Business Day (NBD) support as standard, with 24/7 help-desk access so customers can reach DEC's engineers regardless of their location or time zone.

Can DEC train our own staff to operate and troubleshoot the equipment?

Yes. TSS provides comprehensive training and safety programs through DEC's Safety Training Center (DEC.STC™) so your team can operate DEC's processes effectively and resolve common issues independently.

Are genuine spare parts still available for older DEC systems?

Yes. TSS's service engineers identify a list of critical spares (DEC.SPR™) tailored to your specific VOC emission control equipment, and genuine parts remain available to purchase throughout the lifetime of your device.

What's the difference between DEC.DMP™ and DEC.LSA™?

DEC.DMP™ is a scheduled, preventive diagnostic inspection program that proactively checks your equipment's condition at defined intervals. DEC.LSA™ is a broader agreement that structures a system's ongoing support — which can include inspections, maintenance, and help-desk access — under a single agreement covering the equipment's operating lifecycle.

What's the difference between DEC.RFT™ and DEC.RFB™?

DEC.RFT™ (Retrofit) upgrades an installed system with new technology or added capacity. DEC.RFB™ (Refurbish) restores an aging system's existing components to like-new condition. Both fall under the same TSS retrofit/refurbish service line, and DEC's engineers can advise which fits your equipment's condition and goals.

Does TSS still support equipment that's several years old?

Yes. TSS is built around lifecycle support: genuine spare parts (DEC.SPR™) remain available throughout the operating life of the device, adsorbent media is monitored and replaced on schedule via DEC.AMS™, and periodic diagnostic checks (DEC.DMP™) or refurbishment (DEC.RFB™) keep older systems running reliably.

Is there a fixed price list for DEC.TSS™ support services or spare parts?

No — TSS support agreements, maintenance programs, and spare-parts lists are custom-quoted per installed system rather than sold off a fixed price list, since scope depends on your specific equipment and service level. Contact DEC's Technical Sales & Applications team to request a quote.
