Ultra Low emission | Zero emission plant
DEC.ULE™
The DEC.ULE™ process is an advanced APC technology engineered for solvent recovery plants (SRU) to achieve near total air recirculation, ultra low emissions, or a complete zero emission plant (ZEP) state.

operating principles of DEC.ULE™
The system establishes a semi closed loop (DEC.SCL™) between the solvent recovery unit (SRU) and the production equipment. The outlet air stream discharged from the main stack is rendered available to the fresh air intakes of process machinery such as flexography, rotogravure, or lamination lines. This configuration enables maximum air recirculation for sustainable manufacturing operations.
key industrial benefits
- environmental performance; achieving the lowest possible VOC mass flow at the stack allows industrial facilities to reach ZEP status. Increased process efficiency directly increases solvent recovery rates.
- energy savings; maintaining steady supply air conditions reduces thermal energy consumption during cold weather and winter seasons. Efficiency is maximized when integrated with the DEC.THR™ energy recovery system family.
- process optimization; production machinery receives fresh intake air at consistent temperature and relative humidity. Operators do not need to alter solvent dilution ratios during seasonal climate variations, which creates a stable printing environment when using retarders and alcohols.
- advanced safety engineering; maximum operational safety is ensured through dedicated online process analyzers measuring CO, CO2, O2, and hydrocarbons (HC). Combined temperature and relative humidity controls are available in non redundant NMR or dual redundant DMR configurations.
VOC mass emission reduction performance
False air entering production equipment directly affects the total emission reduction capability of the plant. The table below outlines projected mass emission reduction results through DEC.ULE™ process implementation;
| false air percentage (% on total flow) | DEC.ULE™ mass flow reduction (%) | plant emission status |
|---|---|---|
| 0 % | 100 % | zero emission plant (closed loop) |
| 7.5 % | 92.5 % | ultra low emission plant |
| 10 % | 90 % | ultra low emission plant |
| 12.5 % | 87.5 % | ultra low emission plant |
These reduction percentages are influenced solely by false air volume. Results remain completely independent from total SLA volume, solvent type, or stack emission levels, delivering consistent efficiency for every Customer.

What is DEC.ULE™?
DEC.ULE™ is an advanced APC technology engineered for solvent recovery plants (SRU) to achieve near total air recirculation, ultra low emissions, or a complete zero emission plant (ZEP) state.
How does DEC.ULE™ achieve ultra-low or zero emissions?
The system establishes a semi closed loop (DEC.SCL™) between the solvent recovery unit and the production equipment, making the outlet air stream from the main stack available again to the fresh air intakes of process machinery such as flexography, rotogravure, or lamination lines, enabling maximum air recirculation.
What are the key industrial benefits of DEC.ULE™?
DEC.ULE™ delivers environmental performance by achieving the lowest possible VOC mass flow at the stack and reaching ZEP status; energy savings by reducing thermal energy consumption in cold weather, especially when integrated with the DEC.THR™ energy recovery system family; process optimization by supplying fresh intake air at consistent temperature and humidity so solvent dilution ratios stay stable across seasons; and advanced safety engineering through dedicated online analyzers for CO, CO2, O2 and hydrocarbons, with non redundant NMR or dual redundant DMR configurations.
How does false air affect DEC.ULE™ emission reduction performance?
False air entering the production equipment directly affects the plant's total emission reduction capability: at 0% false air the plant reaches zero emission (closed loop) status, while 7.5-12.5% false air still yields 87.5-92.5% mass flow reduction, qualifying as an ultra low emission plant. These reduction percentages depend solely on false air volume and remain independent of total SLA volume, solvent type, or stack emission levels.
Can DEC.ULE™ be integrated with other DEC systems?
Yes. DEC.ULE™ is designed to work together with the solvent recovery unit (SRU) it recirculates air with, and its energy savings are maximized when combined with the DEC.THR™ energy recovery system family.
