Hydrogen Generators
DEC.H2G™

Gas Chromatography (GC) and Flame Ionization Detection (FID) are widely used techniques that require a reliable and pure hydrogen supply. Traditionally, this has been achieved through the use of bottled hydrogen, but the advent of lab hydrogen generators offers significant advantages over this conventional method.

The DEC.H2G™ hydrogen generator is an electrolytic device that produces high-purity hydrogen gas on demand through the electrolysis of deionized water. It's designed specifically for use in control rooms to supply GC and FID detectors. These generators ensure a continuous, pure supply of hydrogen, tailored to the needs of modern analytical instruments.

advantages H2G™

Unlike hydrogen cylinders, which store high-pressure hydrogen, generators produce hydrogen on-demand at low pressure, significantly reducing explosion risks. Additionally, the amount of stored hydrogen is minimal, further enhancing lab safety.

DEC.H2G™ come equipped with sensors for detecting internal leaks and/or automatic shutdown capabilities, adding an extra layer of safety in the lab environment.

With a DEC hydrogen generator, there's no need to worry about running out of gas or arranging for cylinder deliveries. Hydrogen is produced as required, ensuring a steady supply without interruptions.

DEC.H2G™ hydrogen generators maintain a consistent level of gas purity, which is crucial for sensitive analytical work. The purity level can often be higher than that of bottled hydrogen, which can vary between batches.

While the initial investment in a hydrogen generator might be higher, the long-term savings are significant. There are no ongoing costs for cylinder rental, transportation, or replacement, and no waste from unused gas.

Generators eliminate the need for gas management, reducing administrative and labor costs associated with handling bottles.

Hydrogen generators produce hydrogen from water, emitting only oxygen as a by-product, making them environmentally friendly compared to the industrial production of hydrogen for cylinders.

DEC.H2G™ hydrogen generators take up far less space than multiple hydrogen cylinders, freeing up lab space for other equipment or storage

Maintenance is straightforward, often involving just the refilling of deionized water and periodic filter replacements, without the need for constant monitoring or cylinder changes.
