high-density sintered alumina

The beads are strong and durable, which can withstand the harsh conditions of many industrial processes, offering exceptional thermal stability, withstanding high temperatures, which is important for many applications.

Thanks to their chemical structure, alumina ceramic beads are also chemically inert, which means that they do not react with the fluids that they are exposed to.

Alumina ceramic beads are a versatile and effective material for supporting adsorbents. They offer a number of advantages over other materials, and they are widely used in a variety of industrial applications.

application

  • Flow Distribution: the DEC.ACB™ beads' shape and size create voids and channels, facilitating consistent flow through the adsorber. This prevents the adsorbent from compacting or settling, ensuring uniform airflow distribution and minimizing channeling (where air or liquid takes the path of least resistance). As a result, the adsorbent bed is utilized more uniformly, without decreasing adsorption efficiency;
  • Draining: the DEC.ACB™ beads act as a draining buffer, minimizing the impact of water accumulation in the lower layers (next to supporting plates). This prevents structural damage to the adsorbent, thus preserving its performance and extending its lifetime;
  • Isolation: the DEC.ACB™ beads provide a sturdy, chemically inert base layer that isolate the supporting net from the adsorbent, reducing possible corrosion effects.
