DEC leverages Google Meet to conduct virtual conferences and meetings (VC or TC). You can access DEC meetings through a web browser on your computer or mobile device (Android or iOS apps available)[1].
What we can do with Google Meet?
Make video calls: Google Meet makes it easier than ever to start and join video meetings: we can meet with up to 50 people at a time.
Schedule meetings: schedule a meeting using Google Calendar including a Meet video link; meetings are synced automatically across devices, so you can start a meeting on your computer and continue on another device, such as your phone. Meetings will also include a dial-in[2] number so invited people (including external users) can call in for audio access; a phone number and PIN is automatically added to Meet video meetings.
Instant meeting: on your phone, open the mobile app or, in your browser, go to https://meet.google.com to start a meeting, and then invite others to join.
Share your screen: while in a meeting, you can share your screen to present slides or other information on your desktop.
Please note: the call may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance and training purposes.
[1] when you start a video call for the first time, you need to let Google Meet use your camera and microphone.
[2] we include a U.S. phone number, regular call charges apply. If just a simple TC has to be scheduled, access to standard conferencing system is still granted.
